The Centre for Preservation of Hvar's Cultural Heritage, The ancient Hvar theatre built in 1612, with a 19th-century interior: miniature boxes, the stage, a fresco on the ceiling and two frescoes on the stage walls. It is the most beautiful architectural jewel on Hvar. Capacity 80 seats.

Includes Hvar's most valuable collection of old masters. Note the well-known "Last Supper" of magnificent size and workmanship, by an anonymous Venetian master from the 17th century. Old manuscripts and incunabulae, liturgical vestments, liturgical objects made of precious metals and a collection of ancient Greek, Roman, medieval and modern coins are also displayed.

ARSENAL GALLERY

The Arsenal building, The Centre for Preservation of Hvar's Cultural Heritage, a collection of paintings and sculptures by contemporary Croatian artists. A 16th century wooden sculpture of a winged dragon which once decorated the bow of a Hvar war galley is exhibited in the stage ot the theatre.

The Citadel - One of the choicest collections of ancient amphorae in Croatia. The amphorae were mostly collected from the Hvar seabed and reflect the intensity of sea trade in this area in ancient times.
