A very comprehensive coach network connects all parts of the country.
There are regular international coach services connecting Croatia with
all neighbouring countries, as well as Switzerland, France, Germany
and Slovakia.
Bus service between major cities (intercity lines) is quite frequent,
as well as regional services.
By boat
The Croatian coastal towns and cities are served by ferry
and ship services. The inhabited islands are linked with the mainland
(and some of them also with other islands) by ferry/ship services. During
the summer, the frequency of ferry sailings is usually increased and
fast hydrofoil services are added. The summer sailing schedule normally
remains in operation from 28 May to 30 September.

The main Croatian passenger shiping line, maintains the largest number
of regular international and domestic ferry and shipping lines.

Hoverspeed/SNAV
Hoverspeed, in cooperation with SNAV are operating a daytime Fast Ferry
route from Ancona-Split (Italy to Croatia) crossing time only 4 hours.
The season starts on 14 June till 29 September 2002. It has one service
per day. Ancona (departure 11.00 hrs) - Split (departure 17.00 hrs).

Documents: It is requested that you carry a valid driving
licence, automobile registration card and your green card (unless regulated
differently). All damage to vehicle must be reported at the border when
entering the country.
Speed and Alcohol Limits: 50 km/h - in built-up areas,
80 km/h - outside built-up areas (unless otherwise stated), 130 km/h
- on motorways. Speed limit for cars towing caravans or trailers is
80 km/h.
The maximum permitted level of alcohol in the blood is 0.5 parts per
thousand.
Road tolls: Zagreb - Karlovac, Zagreb - Krapina, Varazdin
- Cakovec, Zagreb - Slavonski Brod, and Rijeka - Kupjak motorways, Ucka
Tunnel and Krk Bridge.
Petrol stations: Are open from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m.,
or 8 p.m., every day, and during the summer until 10 p.m. There are
also petrol stations that are open round the clock in the larger towns
and along major international routes. Petrol: Eurosuper 95, Eurosuper
98, Normal Lead-free 91, Super 98 and Eurodiesel.
Taxi service: In all cities and tourist places.
Rent-a-Car: This service is available in all the larger
towns, tourist resorts and at airports. There is also a taxi service
