Excursion programs from Dubrovnik
I. Dubrovnik City Tour - with
sights of most important architectural monuments
Travel
back in time and see why George Bernard Shaw wrote "Those people
seeking paradise on earth should come to Dubrovnik". Dubrovnik's
old city walls girdle a perfectly preserved complex of public and private,
sacral and secular buildings representing all periods of the city's
history, beginning with its founding in the 7th century.
Walk the Stradun and admire the Onofrio Fountain; the gothic Rector's
Palace - built in 1441; Franciscan Monastery which houses a pharmacy
still operating since 1391; and Church of St. Blaise - a lovely Italian
baroque building. Later, enjoy a scenic ride to the hills above Dubrovnik
to catch the best and complete view of the amazing Old Town with it's
massive stone walls.
